THREE places where have an italian BREAKFAST near Colosseum

1 min read

Kick-start your day with a typical italian breakfast before hitting the Colosseum early to avoid the crowds. I suggest some places. First of all Panella Bakery (54, Via Merulana), in San Giovanni district. Are about ten minutes walking from Monti district, but when you get to this place you know that it was worth the effort! A huge variety of dessert, cakes, croissants and typical italian pastries. I love their espresso. If you’re looking for something of special, try the espresso flavored pistachio or hazelnut.
In Via Urbana there is a couple of good alternative. I usually have my espresso time (Illy branded) at Bar Monti, with their well-designed interior room. Take ten minutes of relax drinking coffee, eating a “cornetto” (typical italian pastrie) and connecting with their free Wifi. Kind of more sophisticated is Urbana 47. There you should choose from different “miscela” of coffee from South America. And also between an italian or international breakfast.
